To create a pattern based on the theme “My Local Environment” using a visual sketchpad with mixed media exploration AEDP line, space, balance, texture, harmony and repetition to create a 10cmx10cm printed wrapping paper. L2LP: To create a monoprint based on the theme “My local environment” using a visual sketchpad to explore imagery.
By the end of Block Printing, students should be able to:
1. Based on group and individual learning methodologies, collect and organise resources and information.
2. Use a variety of artistic approaches.
3. Identify and experiment with artistic visual qualities and with a range of materials and tools.
4. Produce art works of a personally expressive and aesthetic nature.
5. Recognise some of the ways in which artists have responded to, and promoted environmental issues.
6. Begin to have a more participatory role in environmental care.

Aim of Unit of Learning:Students will explore content area 1: Europe and the wider world within the movement of the Renaissance creating their own interpretation in their notes using Visual Studies Framework.

6th year Mixed Media Tableaux Vivants
Aim of Unit of Learning:To create a mixed media collage that utilises line, tone, shape, colour, space, and balance, the final artwork will be a mixed media collage on A2 paper inspired by the theme “Tableau vivant”.Theme development:The term tableau vivant means a “living” portrait. Referring to the practice of recreating artworks from the past.
Learning outcomes for unit of learning:
