Member of Teaching Council

Being a member of a professional teaching organisation as a student teacher is important because it supports both professional development and classroom practice from an early stage.

Membership of Connect RP

Connect RP is an Irish education organisation that supports schools and educators in developing Restorative Practice (RP) a relationship-based approach to wellbeing, behaviour, communication, and school culture. Their focus is on helping schools build stronger, more connected learning communities through empathy, respect, accountability, and meaningful dialogue.

Membership and volunteer at VISUAL.

As a member and volunteer at VISUAL Carlow, I contribute to the delivery of its gallery and theatre programme while developing hands-on experience in cultural engagement. Volunteering in this setting has deepened my awareness of how art institutions can create  or unintentionally reinforce gaps in access, confidence, and cultural belonging. This experience continues to influence my approach as an emerging educator committed to making art more welcoming for diverse audiences.
